In November, my husband and I enjoyed a nice relaxing get-a-way weekend in Ellijay, Georgia with his family. Our mild winter and wet summer left nature fully hydrated going into early autumn, so the leaves did not cooperate with our Fall festivities, but the sights were still beautiful!
My husband found a beautiful, rustic mountain cabin to rent for the weekend and we were delightfully surprised with the creative decor. Here are a few snapshots {courtesy of my BIL} of some of the beautiful rustic touches:

An example of the creative decor! Nothing better than re-purposing everyday items!

Among the highlights of the trip was my first trip to a pumpkin patch! Growing up in South Georgia, this was not a festivity of which I have taken advantage. I was excited to see the fields {though the crop had already been harvested} and gorgeous mountain views.

Burt's Pumpkin Farm
These were some LARGE pumpkins!
I chose a white pumpkin. Didn't even know these existed!
They had so many to choose from!!!
Even some odd but beautiful gourds. |
After selecting our pumpkins and touring the shops, we stopped by State Park to enjoy the view. And it was breath taking!

We ended the afternoon cheering on the Dawgs and letting the pups embrace their wild sides.

We couldn't keep Macy out of the water, but Peyton showed great self-control (amazingly!) |

We had a wonderful time experiencing Fall in North Georgia! I'm still enjoying my baby pumpkin at the office!
